TESI DOCTORAL ELS PARLARS DEL MONTSIÀ. ESTUDI GEOLINGÜÍSTIC L'estudi presenta la descripció dialectal de la llengua catalana, a partir del registre col·loquial, a la comarca del Montsià, situada al bell mig de la llengua, entre el Baix Ebre al nord, el Baix Maestrat al sud i el Matarranya a l'oest. Les dades s'han recollit en dènou punts d'enquesta, aquests són els que estan habitats regularment amb població autòctona. Els informants presenten el perfil adequat per a aquest tipus d'investigació. El qüestionari s'ha basat en 3.491 ítems. El tratamiento del préstamo lingüístico y el calco en los libros de texto de bachillerato y en las obras divulgativas

En este trabajo, intentaremos hacer una revisión crítica de los conceptos lingüísticos relacionados con la noción de “préstamo”, tal como aparecen en los libros de texto españoles y en las obras divulgativas sobre el español actual. La primera parte de este artículo trata de aclarar el valor de términos problemáticos referidos al préstamo lingüístico, tales como préstamo, extranjerismo, xenismo, calco, híbrido y préstamo semántico. Coordinate compounding in English and Spanish

Coordinate compounding is a process which has been only sporadically considered in wordformation studies on Germanic and Romance languages. In this paper, we compare the situation in English with that in Spanish as far as formal structure and semantics are concerned. To this end, an operational definition of coordinate compounding is first provided, after which a semantic classification of coordinate compounds is developed. For each type, variants are discussed, representative examples are provided, and similarities and dissimilarities between the two languages are highlighted.
